  he Magnetic Fields is a group of positive attraction, hailing New York City’s Stephin Merritt at its helm as songwriter, musician and producer. He is talented enough to record and re-master his own albums as well as acting as the predominant performer. Cellist Sam Davol and banjo player John Woo help the beat along with percussionist Claudia Gonson. As a team The Magnetic Fields sound like fun to play in. -J.T.
