  n 1988 Sonic Youth were on top of their game: respected, successful, and…well… youthful. Much older and married (some of them to each other) with children, they returned to their heyday by performing their critically acclaimed album, Daydream Nation at McCarren Park Pool just last summer. It went well. This year, they're back playing a proper gig (i.e. not a tribute to themselves). Be prepared for loud, atonal blasts of sound. -R.T.
