re you tired of being forced to stop shopping for the duration of attending an art exhibit? It’s pretty ridiculous isn’t it? Well, fortunately this won’t be an issue if you plan on attending the Takashi Murakami exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. Murakami is a design artist who has been collaborating with Luis Vuitton since 2003. The store will feature a small sampling of the work they’ve done together, as well as limited edition Monogram canvasses by Murakami, that feature an exciting new pattern that will be featured on the next Luis Vuitton product line. The exhibit offers a rare opportunity to see the overlap between traditional art, and commercial fashion design. Plus you can shop and feel cultured at the same time…how sweet is that?
Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY
