Chef Maximo Tejada reigns here, of the nearby Rayuela - a favorite refined Latin eatery, and shares ownership with restaurateur Hector Sanz. With a focus on Latino camida de la calle (Latin street food), Maconda serves variations on arepas, empanadas, churros, and more. A Brazilian juice bar serves up exotic fruit juices and provides the stuff for mucho interesting cocktails. Replicating a rain forest, the room is painted green and provides viewing access to the kitchen. Never heard of the town of Macondo?
