Location: 246 Spring Street, New York, New York, USA

Why is it that I feel a tinge of pity every time I see the Trump name try to do good? Is it because the man has more money that taste? Or is it because of the Caligulan decadence he puts on as a veil to distract us from the slow sinking of his empire? But in any case, and in the face of objectivity, there's one thing that can said about the red-faced man-child: he knows how to pick a restaurant.
Quattro Gastronomia Italiana has already cemented its reputation in Miami as a mecca for Norther Italian cuisine that melds local produce with specialty ingredients. And now, twin founders Fabrizio and Nicola Carro have been swept up by the Trump SoHo to demonstrate their worth in Manhattan in the hotel's 150-seat restaurant. Sounds promising, yes, but with no real opening date for either the tower or restaurant on the horizon, one cannot help but feel that the Trump name is once again retarding the progress of young talents. -D.P.

Was supposed to open Spring 2009. You do the math.
