Location: 127 West 28 St., New York, NY

Another recession friendly hotel is making its way into the continually growing neighborhood of Chelsea. Hotel Indigo, a reasonably priced boutique hotel, is plopping itself into the heart of the neighborhood and not looking back.

Boasting 122 uniquely designed guest rooms and two penthouse sweets, the Hotel Indigo is not going to put the new whimsical and expensive Crosby Street Hotel out of business but it will definitely suit a less spendthrift demographic who still wish to lodge in a somewhat trendy space. With the requisite ihome docking station as well as a less obligatory rooftop bar (with views of the city skyline), and Blu American bistro, Hotel Indigo will service hep-cats, with a tendency to be slightly more hard done by, well. – E.H
