    CB2 - Furniture in NYC

    Close

CB2 New Yorkers are pushing and shoving- and no, it isn’t over a stolen cab. New to the block, CB2 has opened on Broadway in Soho for all furniture lovers. Their selection of furniture is extensive, but more importantly, they offer other household décor that you won’t find anywhere else. For example, they have a section dedicated to party goods, which features giant kiss-lips platters, glassware, and bar accessories such as decanters, trays, shakers, carafes, and martini pitchers. This way, you can make an entire pitcher of martinis and serve them from the chic, sloped glass pitcher. It even comes with a stir rod, so keep on pouring that vodka- you won’t have to get up again!

With Christmas around the corner, CB2 has an overwhelming selection of festive décor. From glitter trees, ornaments, and mirrors to wrapping paper, you’ll be regretting you brought your children into this section. CB2 also offers more beds than you can possibly choose from- one more reason to keep the kids at home. You don’t want little black shoe marks all over the beds, and we all know kids can’t resist jumping on beds that aren’t theirs.

While the prices aren’t Ikea-low, the furniture is quality and won’t fall apart after a year (Ikea…now that’s a different story). One of my favorite beds by CB2 is called the “Indie” bed, which is a low –set four poted bed with dark mindi wood veneer ($500). It’s definitely a sexy sex bed, considering the 4 posters could be used to spin around on. Just giving you a few ideas to spice up the bedroom. Note: Practice while alone first. Nothing is more embarrassing than trying to sexily spin around your bed post and flinging yourself onto the floor- or worse, breaking the post.

CB2 is clean, well-laid out, and easy to navigate. If you’re looking for mid-priced furniture that adds a touch of quirky class, you’ll most likely find something here. And just ask for the 4-poster Indie bed by its alter moniker- The Stripper Bed. -S.B.
