ave you ever wondered where the word pub comes from? Allow Public House to enlighten you, though after a few pints I understand it may be hard to retain any pertinent information. While so many facets of America are being privatized (from health care to education), you can always count on the pub to let you in for a reliable menu (meatloaf, chicken fingers), good beers, and an often alcohol fueled political debate.

Taking patriotic to the extreme (the most since 9/11), the blue, red and white flags are in abundance (as are the bold brash Yankees of the South). Rumors are spreading that the ghost of Francis Scott Key has been see at the bar drinking a Bud, but that’s just hearsay.
The space is elegant and chic, featuring a lounge area with soft lighting and cushy stools. The wood floors are accented nicely by the red banquettes and dark wood paneling on the walls. And of course, in true New York style, there’s a good deal of exposed brick and giant flat screen TVs.
Public house’s menu features typical house fare, like pan seared chicken, broiled tilapia, and 14oz New York Strip Steak. The menu also has an offering of open-faced sandwiches and salad if you’re more in the mood for lunch. The booths are cozy and perfect for snuggling and sharing your food- awwww....
