Review by Lauren Denhartog |
" My house is your house,' exclaims Chef Thierry Amexcua (formerly of Il Buco) of his Mexican restaurant, Papatzul, located in the heart of Soho. Amexcua and wife serve up classic Mexican flare with a twist of lime, much like the dominant flavor that takes a stand in their time-tested guacamole.
With by a pitcher of margarita or sangria by your side, this is a sure stop for anyone wishing to juice up before a night on the town. That being said, the space is filled nightly with young and old alike because of a warm atmosphere that puts everyone at ease. You'll feel like you've stumbled across the home of a very good Mexican friend just as they're sitting down to eat. -L.D
