Review by Ellen Jakobsmeier |
our Seasons Bangkok alum Chef Ian Chalermkittichai heads this authentic modern Thai restaurant with a menu that trades the traditional pad thai and satay skewers for exciting and inventive creations. The exotic décor (full Feng Shui) is framed by bottled pink illuminated orchids lining the shelves of the resto with a tepid water feature in the center that illustrates the tranquility of Thailand’s most practiced religion - Buddhism.
For apps, the Banana blossom and artichoke salad with roasted cashews and chili jam is a superb combination of sweet and spicy flavors and diverse textures. As for curry dishes, the braised short ribs in green curry with sweet basil is another delicious meal that combines spice and sweetness, however those who can’t handle the heat will love the organic chicken breast with a light yellow curry, egg noodles and a hint of lime. Make a scene at this Soho retreat for a relaxing meal of Buddha belly proportions.
