Tradition is great, but a little refresher never hurt anyone. At the International Bar, that boost came in the form of relocating the bar from the right side to the left of the narrow space which has just reopened. Scrap that. Tradition is tops. Bar owners Shawn Dahl and Molly Muholland Fitch actually moved the bar back to its very first location. It must have been a feng shui thing. Regardless of where the bar is located, expect zero frill and cheap drinks at this grimy boite, with $4 drinks, and $2 cans of Schaeffers to down while listening to the incredible mix on the jukebox. Nothing like cheap beer and The Clash on a hot summer night, or any night for that matter. –C.S.
