often find myself scanning the wine list for a glass of a moderately-priced local red. Sure, I like wine just as much as the next gal but my love of pairing wine with food often means that my bill nearly doubles. Well there's good news for 'careful' people like us and it's called Il Bagatto where great Italian food is paired with an assortment of reasonably priced (I dare not say cheap) wines.
Although some critics have described the owners of Il Bagatto as a little rough around the edges, when I phone to inquire about their hours, the lovely gentleman on the other end stately simply that the restaurant remains open as long as it had are warm bodies in its seats.
Il Bagatto's atmosphere is warm and inviting though a little dark. It might be useful to bring a pen flashlight. The setting is heightened by a branch-covered ceiling which might just make you feel like you're dining in a secluded forest that just happens to serve delicious Italian cuisine that is *surprise* reasonably priced.
