Review by Ellen Jakobsmeier |
here else in the world would you rather dine than Here? Fresh, seasonal and local ingredients are staples of the cuisine philosophy at Ici. Serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, their four excellent menus have extraordinary dishes for any meal.
Brunch is the most decadent for those who like their pastries – croissants, French Toast served with roasted apple and pear, or Tartines with butter and fruit preserves. That’s enough heart unhealthy food to last until dinner time, when the menu expands to include intriguing appetizers and entrées.

Start with a Truffled mushroom soup or Chicken Liver Schnitzel Shallot Confit with Lemon. Following the pre-meal munchies, the selection of mains includes seafood, steak and duck. The Pan Seared Hanger Steak is far from a disappointment, though the Cloonshee Farm Duck served with sautéed cabbage and prune apple cider sauce is equally juicy and delicious. Those steering clear from red meat will appreciate the Wild Striped Bass that packs some bite in the accompanying mustard and horseradish broth. Of course, who can pass up the Chocolate Pot de Crème for dessert (besides triple bypass candidates)? Fine French cuisine is Ici. - E.J. |
