ne could speculate that this is the refined, flashy, NYC version of Dorothy’s yellow-brick-road back to Kansas (God forbid any city-dwelling billionaire found themselves in Dorothy’s position and had to take a yellow-paved road back home instead of a Gold street). This 24-hr resto cum pub cum post-partying hang out is a spot where many locals can get yummy grub around the clock without being informed that the “kitchen’s closed for the evening” by the jaded wait staff (no names now).
Despite the 24-hr claim to fame, there is a discrepancy with the Sushi bar that only operates between 11:00am-2:00am (drunk sushi or sashimi is never a good idea, and the owners are doing you a favor by restricting you from ordering it with a belly full of beer). This restaurant, opened by Peter Poulakakos of Harry’s, adheres to the NYC “city that never sleeps” reputation where other industries are lacking (i.e. 24-hr tattoo parlors). Be sure to hit up the downtown eatery for some Blue Plate specials where I dare you to find an entrée over 21.
