When I picture the smoldering atmosphere that good old Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman frolicked around in the film Casablanca, I see palms, classy hotel lounges (if there is such a thing), and fat cigars. Sadly, you won’t find that (or Boggie and Ingrid for that matter) at the Moroccan hot spot, though you will find homemade cuisine that aspires to authenticity.

The only cigars here are chicken, beef or potato filo pastries and the lush foliage is also absent, however plenty of dishes from Falafel and Humus to Stuffed Grape Leaves and Tabbouli are on the menu. Many of the dishes are missing meat – a bonus for veg-heads that don’t dig the cow. That being said, Turkish cuisine worships and grill and this resto does know how to do a stellar Beef Shish Kabob or yummy Chicken Shawarma. For dessert the Tiramisu or Banana Chocolate Cake are excellent options, but who can pass a honey laden piece of Baklava?
