In a day and age where trusting meat is like trusting a cheater--you almost never know what to expect---thankfully we have Pat La Frieda. For over nine decades the man has been selling high-quality wholesale meat to some of New York's finest eateries (Kenn's Broome Street Bar, Spotted Pig, Market Table). Even if you hate the previous, there is no denying you're appreciation for La-Frieda's Shake Shack.

Mixing grub with garments Flip is the beefeater's newest burger hot spot, conveniently located in Bloomingdale's. Remember the diner days? Remember gigantic, succulent burgers that had ketchup squirting out one side while dollops of relish oozed out of the other?
Remember when eating a burger took more than two minutes?

Well it's time to devour one of La Frieda's burgers (like the Zoroburger) to make you feel ten again. With over nine sauces, eight cheeses and a variety of fried-up methods guests can post up shop and dig in, effortlessly.

The sleek glossy white floors and wooden tables are inviting and casual. The pop-up stool bar is a cute touch (clearly adding in the "diner" feel). Simply put---the eatery is that after-school-special home-spun restaurant that never gets old (until you do). Forget the fork because all you'll need is a little creativity and of course the meat. You can even top off the monster with a fried egg or chili (I'd go for the later). Don't forget to add in some frites (who eats burgers without fries?). Eat the fries greasy or get semi-healthy with the sweet potato options.

Completely average. Better burgers for better prices elsewhere in the city.

Went in for a late lunch the other afternoon - sat at the counter, where he helped me thru the menu, a pretty interesting selection of burger blends and sauces, and got the food in just minutes. the burger was great, and the fries and the shake i had were the steal! chubby fries and aq chocolate shake! soooo good. nice quick, healthy lunch right in midtown. a good look for bloomies. thank u to the bartender for his help, and in turn i promised i'd write a nice review of the place, so here you go joshua. and i'll see you soon at flip!
