hh the Basque region. Close enough to France to absorb enough culinary cred. and a presence as a region de cuisine all on its own but with enough Lating flavor to keep things interesting.

This East Village resto has a colourful vibe that’s evident from the décor the minute you step in the door (that is if the gipsy flamenco world fusion band doesn’t immediately give it away). The reasonable inexpensive tapas menu is excellent for those who want a mini-nosh with their margarita while enjoying the sexy tunes. Mains are heavy on the grilled veggies and add some Moroccan spices for that Spanish flair.
