T he musical gypsies of Drom have settled in after a rough bout with the Maia space that didn’t work out in the end. True to the gypsy way, Drom has uprooted itself and moved on without looking back or missing a step. The new location is where the old dance club Opaline used to be. The space is now a house of gypsy and world music including bossa nova, Latin and Romani. The eclectic live music choices are mirrored by tapas and meze cuisine with wines, raki and saki to drink. Raki is a strong anise flavored spirit that is rarely found in NYC. Throw on your ankle bracelets and venture to Drom to move to the beat of the drum and taste otherworldly delights. –J.T.
