There are three things that are always mentioned when talking about Dawat:
a) It’s pronounced da-vut, whitey.
b) The name means ‘invitation to feast’, stupid.
c) The head chef is Indian actress/cookbook writer Madhur Jaffrey, you ignorant fool.
Wow, that was mean. But the fourth thing that is considerably less hostile:
d) Dawat is arguably the best Indian restaurant in New York.
