Winos, beware. You’ll never make it out of this restaurant without a friend to stabilize you. Cru boasts the most extensive wine list I’ve ever seen. In order to read the entire wine list, you’d have to take at least 3 bathroom breaks. The red wine list is 130 pages, while the white wine list is much shorter- 100 pages. If you’re serious about wine, your best bet is to go online and look at the lists before subjecting the waiter to 6 or 7 “Can I have another minute please?” stall tactics.

The restaurant itself is softly lit, illuminating the breathtaking wood accents dispersed in a powerful yet elegant way. This is definitely a night you find a sitter and leave the rug rats at home. The menu is extremely diverse, and obviously concocted by the very creative chef, Shea Tallante. For example, roasted veal loin is not simply a slab of meat. It’s roasted in lavender and comes with glazed fava beans, porcini mushrooms and an organic parsley puree in red wine-jus. Hungry? Me too. –S.B.
