Review by Ellen Jakobsmeier |
rafty Tom Colicchio has been spreading his craft franchise throughout NYC (and American for that matter) with a different variation in the theme for each. Obviously, this venue is alcohol-oriented with the noted bar theme.
The menu at Craftbar more rustic and less refined than the traditional Craft restaurant dish list, and purveys specialty sandwiches and light fare with a woodsy, earthy flavor (i.e. Duck Prosciutto with Fontina and Hen of the Woods Mushrooms). When Tom isn’t traveling around the world to his various American city outposts, you can often find the restaurateur dining (and often drinking) at the bar.
