h the joys of colonization. Opening in Harlem, this new resto evidently draws influences from both Chinese spices and Mexican dishes for a unique fusion that’s sure to attract many uptown foodies north of Columbus Circle for a unique dining adventure. Owner Ian Nal, a native of Belize, is evidently familiar with poblanos lore as the China/Puebla combo was first introduced to the Mexican culture in the mid-17th century via La China Poblana (the Puebla China Girl). Appropriately, Puebla’s monument to the historical myth could have inspired this resto’s theme, but understand this is only conjecture. Chef Jason Scott Titner is at the helm with such MexAsian dishes as hoisin-braised duck carnitas and huitlacoche fried rice on the menu.

2 Reader Reviews | I visited CDP with my wife. We loved it. We saw several great reviews for it in the NY Times. And we were in the mood for Latin/Asian food. We were not disappointed. The place is just beautiful, first of all. The food is a bargain. Delicious and well priced. The owner and staff are very friendly. We had a great time. You won't be disappointed. Definitely give CDP a try.
