Cherry Tavern is just one of those hole-in-the-wall dive bars that are hits. This East Village tavern serves cheap booze, good looking staff and a jukebox that spins all night long. Strangers actually talk here so before exiting, you may come across a couple of numbers, contacts, friends, or unfortunate enemies.

They are noted for their trademark drink: the Tijuana Special which is an infusion of Tecate beer and tequila shot ($4). Dim lighting, pool tables and open late, Cherry Tavern is where locals and tourists enjoy their night of debauchery. –A.C
