uaranteed, on any given night (unless Italy wins the world cup again), there will be at least 100 bottles of wine stocked in Centovini’s cellar (Centovini, of course, meaning 100 bottles of wine in Italian). Designer Murray Moss lent his design team’s talents to this wine bar cum restaurant of which he is also proprietor.
The magnificent interior of the Soho space more than makes up for the bland red brick exterior. Chef Patti Jackson has crated a classic Italian menu that has modern touches only found in Italy’s major cities, thus separating from the pack of pasta and pizza meals on so many NYC “authentic Italian” restaurant menus. Finally, every bottle of the 100 wines are all Italian, naturally of course.
