Review by Lauren Denhartog |
ark Thompson is an ice cream connoisseur who opened his first venue in the Fulton Ferry Fire House Boat, a 1920's-era vessel with a view of Brooklyn Bridge. First learning his craft at Martoni's, a small family owned establishment from Pennsylvania, he attracts New Yorkers by the hundreds, all lining up for a lick of his delicious, eggless, smooth and delicious ice cream. Eight signature flavors makes the decision process a not-too-difficult thing. Try the succulent peaches n' cream or the traditional chocolate whose velvety texture is just smooth enough. Future endeavors include a sidewalk crepe stand.
