I love Brass Monkey but I won't give D it/We got the bottle, you got the cup/Come on everybody, let's get fffff." - from "Brass Monkey" by the Beastie Boys
Time flies in the booze-spot world, especially in the lately fickle Meatpacking District, where clubs burn out like unattended Cohibas. Despite watering hole transience, Brass Monkey has become a neighborhood stalwart since opening its doors in 2004. Ensconced by a welcoming dark wood palette and flanked by ever-important exposed brick walls, the cleanly laid-out space has an inherent inclusiveness that inspires camaraderie.
"I drink Brass Monkey and I rock well." (Ibid)

While Beasties' beloved Brass Monkey may not be on the drink card, almost everything else is. Renowned for its stellar beer list, the Monkey provides a comprehensive survey course in the finest barley and hops beverages from around the world. The card mollifies less adventurous imbibers with old faithfuls like Bud, Coors, Sam Adams, and Amstel, but also dives headlong into international brews with Ommegang, Moretti, Peroni, Yuengling, Steinlager, Frambois, Duvel, Moosehead, and many, many others. Furthermore, the beer menu also features titular house brews, selections from micro breweries, and a malleable seasonal menu. You can also choose from the cocktail list, but with this pedigree of beer, you would be remiss.
"Cause I drink it anytime, anyplace/When it's time to get ill I pour it on my face/Monkey tastes def when you pour it on ice/Come on, y'all, it's time to get nice." (Ibid)
