Review by Ellen Jakobsmeier |
his wonderful East Village venue is a fantastic place for the delicious Italian favorites you have come to know and lover without the price points that you’ve come to know and loathe. If you’re looking to impress a date without hitting the bank account hard, then try Bianca (sounds posh, don’t it?) for a real Italian romantic resto feel. The menu is fancy too! Notable apps include the Spiedino Di Mare – a concoction of shrimp and calamari – as well as the Gnocco Fritto – fried balls of doughy gnocchi with meat a cheese. Pastas including Lasagne and spaghetti are staples, yet inventive dishes like the Taglitelle Alla Balognese are delicious surprises. For mains, who can say no to a superb salmon filet (Salmone Croccante) or the Pollo Al Balsamico (heavy on the chicken). Finally, indulge in the most scrumptious Panna Cotta for dessert, and you’re steps away sealing the deal (that is if you can move).
