Review by Amy Chung |
his adorable café on Broadway and Spring Street serves up some affordable and tasty Mediterranean fare. Although the prices range from $4-$14, Bari charges a mandatory 15% gratuity to your bill. The Italian influenced cuisine offers dishes like wood-oven pizzas, Salmon Carpaccio and Risotto Milanese. For the not-so adventurous diners, they also offer sandwiches and some juicy American burgers.
The two-story café is owned by Bari Omari, a man who has worked in both Israel and Italy building restaurants. After Paper magazine vacated the premises, Omari took over their offices and connected a grand spiral staircase to conjoin the two floors. With materials shipped from the two countries, you definitely have a European/Mediterranean dining experience. –A.C
