his cute little bistro offers up much of the same atmosphere as other bistros, but the menu itself features uniquely-flavoured dishes that you’ll be telling your friends about.
The executive chef here is Kevin Cahill – of Serena Bass – and he’s created some delicious appetizers and mains that are worth every penny and then some.
If you’re in midtown, stop by for happy hour and savour some drinks served alongside tasty raw appetizers, like shrimp cocktail, Scottish salmon tartare, or cured Arctic char. However, if you have the time, a sit-down dinner would be the optimal way to see what the food here is all about.
Start off with sage gnocchi or shrimp tempura. Satisfied? Thought so. Now, venture into the well-priced mains. There’s a delicious cashew-crusted chicken served up with a currant salad and covered in a spicy chocolate sauce. Innovative? Definitely!
Move on to the beef short ribs. Braised in lemon and thyme, these ribs fall right off the bone with the slightest of provocation. A Yukon gold potato gratin is the perfect side and has the slightest hint of celery root. The dish is reasonably priced at $24 and will please even the most discerning ribophile.

We just visited in April. The special of the night was lamb loin. It came to our table barely warm. Two of my companions had the monkfish. The fish was fine, but their side dishes, farro (spelt) and creamed spinach were so salty, they were inedible. The salmon was nothing special. The servers were nice, but very green (not too knowledgeable). We liked the sangria and the cocktail that was made with Rain vodka and essence of lavender. We didn't bother staying for dessert. Rather a disappointment. Wouldn't visit again.
