et’s shed a tear for the space that once housed Kiev and all its pierogi glory, and embrace the new American Grill. The new East Village diners serves up reasonable priced cuisine 24-hrs a day so you don’t have to run out of the bar before 3am to get a pastrami sandwich from Katz’s (though they really are that good).

The patio cum sidewalk seating area is great for Saturday people watching, and the communal table inside conjures memories of the first Thanksgiving dinner where natives and pilgrims dined peacefully side by side - who am I kidding?
