Review by Ellen Jakobsmeier |
n a luscious summer evening, what could be better than feasting on Alma’s rooftop terrace with a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline and a delicious Pan-Regional Mexican dish in front of you? The minute you walk in the door you are greeted by welcoming Mexican hospitality and the feeling lasts throughout the duration of your dinner.
It is essential to start you meal with the requisite Guacamole and munch on tortilla while consuming the panoramic view of NYC. For mains, the reasonable Pato Cacahuete - Grilled duck breast with roasted peanut and tomato sauce and a puree of sweet potatoes – or Tuna Amarillo are excellent authentic choices that differ from the typical taco or fajitas familiar to many Mexican eateries. That being said, those with delicate palates can opt for Fajitas or other standbys if you can’t take the heat! -E.J.
