his restaurant is now closed. Look for Ducasse's newest New York resto July 2007.
Renowned chef Alain Ducasse’s New York resto is one of his most ambitious projects yet that attempts to create a menu with local ingredients that has a cosmopolitan appeal. If you’re looking for Star treatment in the NYC, this is one of the places to be, but expect to pay the price accordingly. Extreme food is accompanied by extreme prices. Fancy French cuisine is served via the trendy three to six course Prix-Fixe tasting menu (an excuse to charge and arm and a leg without any alternative) where you can anticipate a superb soufflé or steak and frites that you would swear was shipped directly from Duchasse’s Plaza Athénée restaurant in Paris. Could have something to do with the MOLTENI 3,000-pound-stove (shipped directly from France) in the kitchen.
