African American Restaurant Maryway
Full of Senegalese hospitality, this African American restaurant is THE place in NYC to head for some cheb – Senegal’s national dish. Heavy on the fried fish and rice, the electric orange/burnt red dinner arrives full of flavor and spice infused into the eggplant, carrot, cabbage and yucca also on the plate. Their version of mafe, a rich peanut butter stew made all over West Africa, is made with lamb and has plenty of smoky seasonings to keep first time diners returning on repeat occasions.
