nce a single family run Italian restaurant, Abitino’s has expanded to become more like a franchise. This has made the restaurant far more convenient, with four locations (soon to be five) as well as delivery by phone and by internet. But it has also diminished the home-cooked feeling of the food, equating it more with a large faceless pizza chain than with a little Italian bistro. Admittedly the pizza is quite good, utilizing fresh ingredients, a crispy crust and very good tomato sauce. But it doesn’t have that certain je ne sais quois of food created with love.
