his new chic French Bistro has opened up in Brooklyn. “Chic”, “French” and “Brooklyn” may sound like mutually exclusive terms, but trust us, this it actually happened. The menu is classic French fair, with staples like Onion Soup, herring salad, and salade Nicoise available. Everything is carefully prepared and drizzled with some sort of delicious cream sauce. The place doesn’t reinvent the wheel or offer many surprises, but the quality is high enough that it’s well worth a visit. You may want to speak in a snooty accent and chain smoke to fit in while you’re there, but that’s all part of the French atmosphere.-P.B.
