Review by Ellen Jakobsmeier |
rue to its name, the capacity of this tiny bistro is maxed out at twenty six. Fortunately for foodies that can snag a table before those coveted chairs are occupied, the lack of seating leaves room for a well thought out menu and dedication to truly delicious, pocketbook friendly food. Where else in the city can you get a Magret de Canard (sliced breast of duck, sweet potato and cherry juice with mixed greens) for less than twenty dinero? If you have a lighter lunch appetite, try the Salade 26 comprised of mesclun, lady apples, brie, and balsamic vinaigrette for under ten bones. Escargot, French onion soup and Pan-seared salmon are other dishes that round out the French bistro menu nicely. The fabulous service has attracted a local following to the eclectic space over the years, but the menu has always been the main attraction. Bon appétit!
