Viking’s Portable Induction Cooker
By Phil Brown
ome people can’t be bothered to prepare a meal unless it’s cooked using ferromagnetic heating methods. Can't blame them. When you use an induction cooker, the machine itself doesn't even get warm. Instead it uses magnetic energy to cause any pot or pan it comes in contact with it to heat up instantly. It's an exciting way to cook that allows for incredibly precise temperature control. Chefs truly adore induction cookers, and you'd love to think of yourself as an amateur chef, now wouldn't you?
Once you’ve used magnetic power to cook something, it's quite hard to go back to gas or electric powered heating systems. There is just no comparing the techniques. It’s like the difference between, say, clearing out a snow-filled driveway with a shovel or a spoon (well, maybe not it’s not that extreme…but you get the idea).
Of course, the problem with induction cooking is that you’re locked down to preparing your meal wherever your personal induction-cooking device might be located. Say, for example, a kitchen? Well…at least that was a problem until today. The inventive people at Viking have introduced a portable induction cooker that allows you to take the power of magnetic cooking wherever you damn well please. It’s a perfect summer hero because it radiates dramatically less heat in the kitchen allowing you to where normal clothing rather than having to strip down to your whiteys to prepare a meal. Not to mention the fact that that this bad boy is 100% portable. It only takes up 12 by 15 inches of counter space but packs all the cooking power of a full-sized induction cooker.
The only thing that has more power in small package is Jackie Chan. That guy is ridiculous. So if you’ve been seduced by the power of induction it’s time for you to trade yourself up to the Viking Portable Induction Cooker. You will be dropping, however, about $500.00 for the privilege, but we’re talking about an appliance that will instantly become your most prized possession in the kitchen (your monogrammed, designer carving knife will be rightfully jealous).
