 Some of the featured talent includes Jackson Browne, Stevie Wonder, Oliver Jones, Maria Schneider Orchestra, Jamie Cullum, Chris Botti with Big Orchestra, Tony Bennett, Madeleine Peyroux, and Susie Arioli. Attendees can also enjoy theatrical presentations and innovative installation pieces. Most of the good stuff is at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier. Also, make sure to check out the Rocksteady show.
As usual, there will be plenty of music on tap for jazz fans and non-jazzers alike. Eleni Mandell (Club Soda, July 3), Thunderheist (Club Soda, July 4), the Dears (Club Soda, July 6), a double bill featuring reggae giants Burning Spear and Toots and the Maytals (Metropolis, July 9), Van der Graaf Generator (Théâtre Maisonneuve, July 9), Bell Orchestre (Club Soda, July 9), Joe Cocker (Salle Wilfrid Pelletier, July 9), Zachary Richard (Cinquième Salle of Place des Arts, July 9 to 11), rapper Mos Def and pianist Robert Glasper (Théâtre Maisonneuve, July 10) and the Brian Setzer Orchestra (Salle Wilfrid Pelletier, July 10) are in town.
