nusual "tableaux vivants," or "living stills" are Adad Hannah's focus. Hard to distinguish between photography and film, Hannah works by asking his models to remain as still as possible for ten to fifteen minutes and then filming them. The artist's works employ another contradiction: suspense and boredom. Viewers are captivated by a seemingly still image, but cannot look away for fear of an exaggerated breath or shakiness that might prove otherwise. Hannah is one of many artists featured at this exhibit. –C.S.
