Sandra Bernhard Live
Sunday June 22nd
There are few comediennes out there who are as iconic and important to the gay community as Sandra Bernhard Live. Whether you know her from her stand-up, her appearances on
Rosanne, or her amazing performance is Martin Scorsese’s unjustly forgotten
The King Of Comedy, there’s no chance that you’ve ever forgotten her distinct abrasive and commanding comedic presence. Bernhard will be launching into her vicious diatribes for one night only with the procedes going to support Pride Week. You won’t want to miss this. Tickets are $25-$75. Doors at 8pm.

Rainbow Flag Raising And Pride Week Proclamation
Monday June 23rd
While much of Pride Week takes place behind closed doors and involves illicit, but wildly entertaining activities, this is one event that’s suitable for the whole family. Mayor David Miller, Councilor Kyle Rae and Pride Toronto will officially declare the commencement of Pride Week by raising a rainbow flag in front of city hall. It’s a wonderful endorsement of acceptance and tolerance from the city of Toronto that may lack the alcohol and unadulterated fun of many of the other events, but makes up for it thanks to political and social significance. That stuff is important too. The ceremony starts at 12:30pm. Admission is free.
