ntering Hair Société, a salon mixed with a dye bar (yup, a dye bar) on the corner of hip Saint-Laurent street and Saint-Joseph, is like entering heaven. I will justify my enthusiasm in a second; let me explain the principle first.

Opened almost a year ago, Hair Société is not only a very trendy and stylish salon, it's also a hair style academy (you can take hair straightening classes, among other things) and a dye bar. Meaning what? Meaning that you can go there and buy professional dying products at very affordable prices. Now that the boring material is told, let me tell you why Hair Société is one of my favourite places in Montréal.

As you enter through the salon's glass doors, you are greeted by relaxing but trendy music, a Zen decor principally made of stainless steel and glass, incredibly sympathetic staff and a delicious cup of coffee. First visit? Sit at the bar; your stylist will analyze your hair, go through a small questionnaire to make sure to use the product that is good for your hair, and to have you walk out of there satisfied.

A visit at Hair Société not only transforms you into a gorgeous creature, it makes you feel like you are important, that you matter. They'll even call you back to make sure that you are satisfied. The service of the greatest (and most expensive) salons in the world meets gorgeousness, friendliness, style and grace. And guess what? the purse-friendly prices will make your curls go straight.
