Thus, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more apropos name for a skateboarding/snowboarding shop than Empire.

Begun in 1999, Empire has since expanded to four large stores throughout Quebec, thus making it an, um, empire of its own. Its latest incarnation on St. Antoine doesn't stray from the familiar formula, covering all of your board-related needs, whether you ride regular or goofy.

All major brands - name one, it's here - as well as sought-after smaller labels - are represented. With copious clothing, accessories, and walls and racks stacked with decks and kicks, it's a one-stop shop.

Naturally, the staff ascribe to the lifestyle, with extensive snow and skateboarding experience and knowledge. If you have a question about zeitgeist couture or hidden locales, they'll likely have an answer for you.
