ccording to Urbandictionary.com, when something is “off the hook”, it exceeds the minimal standard of satisfaction. This appropriately describes the shop that goes by the same name, now located on St. Catherine. The store employs an urban aesthetic that showcases a number of limited edition kicks (DC, Reebok, Nike) as well as a slew of popular Hip Hop labels like Zoo York, Stussy and D.L. Incognito’s endorser, LRG.

The space has a homey vibe where you don’t feel pressured to drop lots of cash, but rather hang out on their plush leather couch. The upperground boutique (located on the 2nd floor) also moonlights as a street art gallery for local graff and urban artists. Community involvement is further reflected with Off the Hook’s presence at many hip-hop and electronic shows, which they promote in store, as well as carrying local artist’s CDs.
