Hot Chefs: Laura White at Xococava

Other options include Spanish pastries like churros, and chuchos (baked pastry filled with pastry cream); both of which are classic breakfast pastries of Spain. Cava Corn is irresistible popcorn tossed in chipotle caramel; 16 oz milkshakes "are more like lunch," and can be made with any flavour on offer. Drinking chocolate is made with 70% Belgium chocolate and based on a French couverture of cocoa powder, sugar, and water; while using goat milk in the Con Leche drink adds an extra tang, and is totally worth the 5 day process.

One reason White is confident in Xococava? Karma. Before Xococava took over (some say because Macdonald didn't want to have to compete with anyone but himself), the location in mundane Delisle court was Mother's Sweets, and before that, Baskin Robbins. Sweetness is what they've got going for them.
