Resto L'Appartement
A supper-club located in the heart of the old-port, l’Appartement is loyal to its name: the décor revolves around the apartment theme, incorporating both your eccentric neighbours and deadbeat roommate. Hyper-trendy, l’Appartement has become a number-getting, pick-up spot par excellence. 600 William Street, Montreal, QC -M.O.
Le Diner
If Jack Kerouac were visiting Montreal (oh, and alive) and looking for his famous road buddy, Dean, he’d be probably having a pie and ice cream, his favorite, at Le Dîner, a new restaurant in the Plateau that came straight from the fifties. I don’t know if they serve pies, but Kerouac would probably be impressed by its new twists on diner specialties, like bbq duck wing and hot chicken with blue cheese dip. Le Diner is the perfect place for a traditional shared milkshake date.

Truffert Bistro
Lucky for Truffert Bistro, the tapas trend is beginning to slow and tablecloth dining is back in. Located near Laurier Park in the Plateau, Truffert Bistro is a dream come true for the hard working, over twenty year restaurant veteran, M. Truffert. The restaurant’s decor is minimalist chic and an open kitchen allows patrons to spy on the chef’s working wonders. Truffert gloriously revamps and modernizes French food, providing Montrealers with a truly (get it?) great spot. 1481 Laurier Street. -M.O.
