    Buzz: New Miami Restaurants
The current economic downturn doesn't seem to have put a damper on some highly successful North Coast restaurants from coming to town. Not only are they investing in property and renovations, but the food they're serving? High price cuts of meat. Take a look at what's in store for Miami in the next few months.

    Angelo & Maxie's
Angelo & Maxie's Steakhouse is straight out of NYC. A favorite of many, the restaurant will provide comfort to New Yorkers who have moved down South. The welcoming and comfortable atmosphere is sure to warm the heart, and boost the iron count of the city. (3000 Florida Avenue, Miami, Fl)

    BLT Steak
Created by entrepreneur and chef Laurent Tourondel, BLT (Steak/Fish/Market/Burger/Prime), has created a chain of restaurants incorporating his French culinary training and the American love of big hunks of meat. Choose your sauce, from béarnaise to three mustard, dine on rich parmesan laced gnocchi, and finish it off with peanut butter chocolate mousse. After creating a presence in NYC, BLT has moved across the country, with the newest BLT Steak slated to open in Miami in the fall of 2008. (The Betsy Hotel, 1440 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL)

    Morton's
Morton's is set to open their third restaurant in the Miami area, and the 8th in Florida, at The Crown at Miami Beach, an oceanfront residential high rise tower. The classic American steakhouse serves everything you would want in a decent steak joint, including an iceberg wedge salad with blue cheese dressing, shrimp cocktail, and a range of steaks. (4041 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL)

    Katsuya
As designer Philippe Starck transforms the South Beach Ritz Plaza, he is bringing in another of his business partners: Katsuya restaurant from California. Katsuya is mostly known as a hangout for celebrities with the paparazzi parked outside; so it's no surprise flavored water will run you seven bucks, while cropped images of seductive geishas watch you eat $15 tuna sashimi. Clearly this is the price you must pay for dining with the pretty people. (1701 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL)
