2007 Beerfest Electrifies
Thanks to the live entertainment and myriad activities, the thirstier-than-desert-wanderers crowd didn't notice the kegs starting to dwindle. A thrilling show of belly dancers tantalized and teased the soused throng for a half an hour show, allowing vendors to clandestinely re-stock and catch their breath before the next rush.
Calgary’s latest local radio station, X92.9, dispatched “The Night Rider,” Evan Baran, and their own “Talking Monkey,” Josh Holliday, to excite the crowd, make a nuisance of themselves, and provide coverage to those unluckily unable to attend.
With bottle caps and clear plastic cups strewn across the sticky floor, the fluorescent lights came up, dismissing the crowd and ending the hugely successful festival for another year. -K.R.M. | |
