icture this: you’re sitting in a romantic bistro in Paris with soft music providing a soothing atmosphere (perfect for kissing). The resto is small, quaint, and feels like you could be in someone’s house. If this sounds like the perfect place to take your date, you would be right. Head on over to Yoyo, which promises the quaint Paris-feel you dream about (I know you dream about romance, men. I wont tell).
The dining room is quite small, but it’s simply cute. The walls are sponge-painted for that old-world feel, and the wood accents add a touch of class and elegance.
For starters, try shiitake mushrooms with sautéed oysters on a baguette, which is an interesting and different take on typical apps. If you’re brave (unlike me), try the foie gras appetizer for a sensation of flavours. I personally can’t imagine chowing down on a poor, innocent duck- I just keep picturing Joey’s duck from Friends. He’s so sweet and innocent…and apparently excellent-tasting.
The dinner menu consists of offerings such a ratatouille, various cuts of meat such as pork loin with mustard sauce, and veal bavette. Don’t stop there, though- the dessert menu is something to feel guilty about. Try cream puffs, crème brulee, or cheesecake for a finish that will have you popping the top button of your pants.
Yoyo is a great resto for flirting, sipping wine, and intimate dining. You can be assured the quality and taste of Yoyo’s cuisine will not yo-yo. You’ll be consistently served sumptuous meals- all you need to do is bat your eyes and bask in the romance.
