t first glance, it’s almost impossible to tell what genre Spice Safar fits into. Is it a bakery, restaurant, boutique, café, or lounge? The answer, strangely enough, is all of the above. Spice Safar is a new spin on the one-stop-shop for all your dining/entertainment needs. The modern décor is an allusion to the fact that Spice Safar is light years ahead of it’s time.
The idea is to woo you into their restaurant, forcing you to stay for hours on end. The atmosphere promotes lounging and shopping (oddly enough). Featuring household goods, magazines, bath/body, music, and even shoes, you may need a Platinum credit card just to foot the shopping bill (where's that sugar daddy?).
If you’re more into separating shopping from eating, then have no fear. Spice Safar’s cuisine is unique, cosmopolitan, and fresh. If you’re looking to go for an early breakfast, then hit the snooze button a few times - Spice Safar doesn’t open until 9am, so all you early birds may want to hit Timmies first. If you can hold off until 9am, it’s totally worth it. Menu items such as French toast and pancakes are sure to fill that tummy up with just the right touch of sweetness.
Pace yourself for the dessert menu, which has all the makings of a sugar-induced coma. Although, by looking at the pictures of various cakes, pies, and who-knows-what drizzled with sugar, it’s entirely worth it. You even have the opportunity to enjoy fresh baked goods, as their in-store bakery offers a vast display of European-inspired items.
Once you’re full and finally have a minute to look away from your plate, the futuristic elements are sure to impress. The restaurant features individual touch screens, displaying short films, among other things. A live DJ spinning tunes will have you itching to dance, which sets the lounge feel later on in the night.
