Although the tapas-size portions were grilled fittingly, it was the little pizzas that really showcased the two chefs' talent. A mushroom pizza of perfectly grilled pie of portobello and button mushrooms ($13.00) was glistening with a smoked-onion tomato sauce and parmesan.
The Chevre Pizza ($12.50) is rightly chewy with a light tomato sauce, spinach and a generous layer of slabs of goat's cheese. Still, the molten-cheese made this one a sloppy pleasure. A pizza dubbed The Carnivore ($13.50) - layered with puréed tomato sauce, roasted garlic, mozzarella cheese, and studded with Italian sausage, pancetta and Italian parsley - completely stole the show. On a simpler note, there's La Natural ($13.00), a greaseless pizza, with not much more than a layer of tomato sauce, basil and mozzarella, but good all the same.
If you're inclined to skip dessert at this point, you're in good company — there aren't any on the menu at Romeo. But if you're feeling the local spirit, the waiter might serve a refreshing round of tequila shooters.-D.E.

1 Reader Reviews | Ordinary. Very. They put more effort on the looks of things and it's kind of a miss as well. That front banner is the most amateurish type of design in existence.
It's like the sub-compact of Mercedes... a bit ridiculous and cheap perfume smelling.
No "soul" in there. Throw-away pseudo-concept.
Too bad... nice spot.
